About Sitecheck

About Sitecheck - Website Performance, Accessibility and SEO

Sitecheck started as a personal build and has grown into a practical platform for teams that need fast, reliable website insights across performance, accessibility, SEO, security, and monitoring.

Why I made this

As a web developer, I kept needing one place where performance, accessibility, SEO, security, and recurring checks could live together. Sitecheck was built to remove tool fragmentation and turn technical findings into actions people can ship.

A note on scope & intent

Sitecheck is built for practical decision-making, not vanity metrics. The core goal is to surface clear priorities quickly, keep scans dependable at scale, and keep the platform accessible for solo developers, small businesses, and growing teams.

What I learned (so far)

  • I learned how much reliability depends on controlling the full scanning runtime, not only the UI layer.
  • I learned to balance depth and speed: detailed reports can stay rich, while history views must stay lightweight.
  • I learned that performance wins usually come from data architecture choices before frontend tweaks.
  • I learned to treat validation and security hardening as ongoing product work, not a one-time task.
  • I learned that small UX details in wording, hierarchy, and defaults make technical reports easier to act on.
